Is IWF flooring safe & sustainable? 

IWF flflooring is safe for both you and the environment. It’s quality of PVC free is subjected to rigorous tests by Third Party Laboratories that are designed to ensure all products to meet th e highest standards and to keep the indoor air clean. This means our products do not release VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds), formaldehyde and other harmful materials at all.

Is IWF flooring suitable for wheel chairs or motorized chairs?

IWF’s high rigid structure and strong surface allow it to be applied anywhere under wheel chairs, however, it is not recommended to be applied to ramps. Moreover, it is expected to glue the joints if under motorized chairs.

Is IWF flooring suitable for floor heating?

IWF flooring is compatible with embedded radiant flfloor heating systems. You should ensure the radiant heat surface temperature not to exceed 90°F / 32°C. For more details, please refer to the installation manual.

Does the subfloor need to be leveled prior to installing IWF flooring?

Thanks to its rigidity, which hides minor subflfloor imperfections, IWF can be placed directly on top of your original flfloors. However, the subflfloor must be clean and level to 3/16” / 5mm within a 10 ft / 3m span.

Does IWF flooring require a moisture barrier?

It is recommended to apply a minimum 6 mil / 0.15 mm poly-fifilm as a moisture barrier between the concrete subflfloor and the flflooring. A minimum 6 mil / 0.15 mm plastic poly sheeting must be used as a moisture barrier, when installed over a wood substrate or a below-grade area.
